sotuno is our first product for people rather than companies. It exists because we needed it: music that helps us concentrate, wind down and sleep, without a playlist to manage or an app that wants our attention.

We are a small team in Cologne, Germany. For years we have been building software for companies: systems that have to run quietly and reliably in the background of somebody else's working day. That shaped how we think about tools. The best ones disappear.
Music was the one tool that never did. We spent hours a day in music apps that kept interrupting: a song with lyrics in the middle of a paragraph, an ad in the middle of a session, a recommendation in the middle of falling asleep. So we started composing our own long, wordless sessions for the office and for the evening. sotuno is what grew out of that.
We are composing the first libraries now. The music is produced by people, with software as a tool for arranging, extending and mixing, the way any producer works. We will open the doors in small waves during 2026 so that we can listen to every early-access member before we grow.
There are no investors behind sotuno and no plan to add a feed, a social layer or a recommendation engine. It is a tool. It should feel like one.

A tool, not a feed
You pick a mode, set a timer and press play. No scrolling, no recommendations, no "up next". The whole interface fits on one screen and stays that way.
Privacy first
Your data stays on servers in Germany. No ads, no tracking, no selling of data. We store what we need to invite you and to run your account, nothing more.
Honest claims
sotuno is a wellness product, not a medical device. We describe what research on background music suggests, and we do not promise more than that.
